The Swedish Curators’ Association, is now launching the first version of a standard contract with suggested rates for curators – a practical tool that clarifies assignments, terms, and compensation. The need for a shared template has long been requested by our members, and its development has taken place in close dialogue with both institutions and legal experts.
The contract aims to strengthen the professional role of curators, promote transparency, and provide better conditions for collaboration between curators and art institutions. It also represents an important step towards a future industry standard and a clearer framework for curatorial work.
